Upcoming Sermon
What happens when God brings into the light what we've been trying to hide?
This Sunday, Pastor Mike continues After God's Heart with Grace for the Broken from 2 Samuel 12 and Psalm 51.
Last week, we saw how David's heart drifted from God, leading him into devastating sin and desperate attempts to conceal what he'd done. But while David managed to hide his wrongdoing from others, nothing was hidden from God.
And then God sent Nathan.
Confronted with the truth, David finally stops defending himself and begins confessing his sin. He doesn't appeal to his past faithfulness or promise to do better. Instead, he throws himself on the mercy of God.
Because David needs more than forgiveness for what he's done. He needs God to change who he's becoming.
And so do we.
What are we hiding, rationalizing, or excusing? Are we willing to acknowledge our sin without minimizing it? And do we genuinely want God to transform our hearts, or do we simply want relief from the consequences of our choices?
God's grace is greater than our sin. Through Jesus, our better King, we can stop hiding, start confessing, and trust Him to forgive and renew us.
Join us Sunday as we discover the hope of genuine repentance and the grace that makes a new beginning possible.
