Upcoming Sermon
How does a heart that once trusted God so deeply begin to drift so far from Him?
This Sunday, Pastor Mike continues After God's Heart with When Kings Fall from 2 Samuel 11.
For five weeks, we've watched God faithfully lead David from an overlooked shepherd to Israel's king. We've seen David trust God's promises, resist the temptation to seize control, and wait patiently for the Lord's direction.
But now we encounter a very different David.
The king who once refused to take what wasn't his begins using his authority to satisfy his own desires. And as he attempts to conceal his wrongdoing, one compromise leads to another, with devastating consequences for those around him.
How does someone who has walked so closely with God reach this point?
And perhaps more importantly, what might be happening in our own hearts that we're failing to recognize?
Because spiritual drift rarely begins with a decision to abandon God. It often begins when we gradually allow our desires to become more important than what God has said.
But David's failure also points us toward a better King.
Where David used his authority to take, Jesus used His authority to give. And through His grace, we can bring our hearts honestly into the light and find the forgiveness and transformation we desperately need.
Join us Sunday as we examine the danger of a drifting heart and the hope we have in Jesus, our better King.
Coming Alongside the Grogan Family
[Image: Smiling man with arms crossed, wearing a cap and orange backpack, standing on a mountain trail with rocky peaks and autumn foliage behind him]
Our dear friend James Grogan was involved in a devastating car accident on October 15. While we are thankful that James is currently stable, he faces multiple surgeries and a long road to recovery. During this incredibly difficult time, we want to come alongside James and his wife, Cheryl, with prayer, encouragement, and practical support. A GoFundMe has been established to help cover travel, meals, and everyday expenses as they navigate the days ahead. We invite you to join us in being the hands and feet of Jesus by praying for the Grogans and, if you’re able, giving toward their needs. Every gift, no matter the size, is a meaningful way to love and support this family.

Coming Up At Creekside
Pastoral Appreciation Month
We love our pastoral team, and this month we’re taking some time to celebrate and encourage the people who faithfully serve our Creekside family! There are three simple ways you can show your appreciation: pray for our pastoral team and their families; encourage them by stopping by the table in the lobby to write a note (bring your own card or use one provided); or help Fill the Fridge or Tank by donating grocery store or gas station gift cards. However you choose to participate, it’s a meaningful way to remind our pastoral team how loved and appreciated they are!
