What happens when God says no to something good?
This Sunday, Pastor Mike continues After God's Heart with When God Says No from 2 Samuel 7.
After years of waiting, David is finally king. God has fulfilled His promises, given David rest from his enemies, and established him in Jerusalem. Out of gratitude, David wants to build a permanent house for the Lord.
It's a good desire. An honorable plan.
But God says no.
Instead, God reveals something far greater than anything David could have imagined. David wants to build a house for God, but God promises to establish a house for David—a kingdom that will ultimately find its fulfillment in Jesus.
What do we do when God's direction looks different from what we hoped? Can we surrender even our good plans when He leads us another way? And are we trusting what God has actually promised, or what we simply want Him to do?
Because God may say no to what we've planned, but He will always be faithful to what He has promised.
Join us Sunday as we discover why we can trust God's faithfulness, even when we don't understand His no.

Pastoral Appreciation Month
We love our pastoral team, and this month we’re taking some time to celebrate and encourage the people who faithfully serve our Creekside family! There are three simple ways you can show your appreciation: pray for our pastoral team and their families; encourage them by stopping by the table in the lobby to write a note (bring your own card or use one provided); or help Fill the Fridge or Tank by donating grocery store or gas station gift cards. However you choose to participate, it’s a meaningful way to remind our pastoral team how loved and appreciated they are!
Explore Creekside

Are you new to Creekside? Explore Creekside is a short class offered multiple times a year that covers who we are, what we believe and how you can get connected. A few of our Staff and Spiritual Leadership Team will be there and would love to get to know you and answer your questions. The class is located in the Creekside Cafe area after the 2nd service from 12:30-2:00 PM (food provided). We look forward to meeting you there! Childcare provided for ages birth - 5th grade.

Have questions about baptism? Whether you’re considering taking that next step of faith or simply want to learn more, join Pastor James for Explore Baptism on Monday, November 2, at 6:00 PM. Together we’ll talk about what baptism means, why it’s important, and what to expect at Creekside. The class lasts about an hour and is required for anyone planning to be baptized at Creekside. Baptism services will take place on November 15.
Warm Up The Valley Volunteers Needed!
Saturday, December 5 at 9:00 AM
Help us serve local families this Christmas through Warm Up the Valley! We need lots of volunteers for a variety of roles on Saturday, December 5 from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. Event-day volunteers must be 12 or older, serve for the entire event, and attend a mandatory volunteer meeting on Wednesday, December 2 at 6:00 PM. You can also help with setup on Thursday, December 3 anytime from 9am–5pm. Families are welcome to serve together during setup. Sign up today and help us Warm Up the Valley!
Youth Chili Cookoff

Bring the whole family and come hungry for the Youth Chili Cookoff on Sunday, October 18, at 12:30 PM in the downstairs kitchen! Enjoy lunch, sample the competition, and help decide which chili deserves to come out on top. Prizes and, more importantly, bragging rights are on the line! Come join us for good food, friendly competition, and a fun afternoon together.
