When David first enters the biblical story, there is no giant, battlefield, palace, or crown. In fact, when Samuel arrives looking for Israel’s next king, David isn’t even invited into the room. He’s out in a field caring for sheep. Nobody seems to be thinking about David. But God is. As Samuel looks at Jesse’s impressive sons, God reminds him of a truth that will shape David’s entire story: **“Humans see what is visible, but the LORD sees the heart.”** So what does God see when He looks beyond our appearance, accomplishments, and reputation? And can we trust that seemingly ordinary seasons of faithfulness still matter when nobody else notices? Join us Sunday as we begin *After God’s Heart* and meet **The Shepherd Nobody Saw.** ## Coming Up At Creekside [![](https://churchusercontent.com/9eef5887-c4a2-44bd-bcf1-3a129f4488ac/pco-imports/2026-09-10T14-28-50-096Z-07cd9f55-0cae-4ba3-8a0f-dc4f522fcc04.jpg?w=1400)](https://creeksideak.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3858926) ## Ladies Retreat 2026 **October 16-17 at Victory Bible Camp** Step away from the busyness and join us in the mountains at Victory Bible Camp for this year’s Creekside Ladies Retreat. This four-week class is designed to answer that question. Together, we’ll look at what life in an MC looks like, and how community, discipleship, and living on mission fit together. Whether you’ve been invited to an MC or are simply curious about why we do them, this is a great place to start. Join us Wednesday nights beginning October 7th to explore what it looks like to follow Jesus together in everyday life. Meet at 5:30pm in the Auditorium for fellowship. Class starts at 6:00pm.
