What do you do when God’s promises feel slow in coming?
This Sunday, Pastor Mike returns to our series through 2 Peter with The Promise of His Coming (2 Peter 3:1–10).
Peter writes to believers surrounded by voices asking, “Where is this Jesus you say is coming?” His answer isn’t a timeline or a prediction. Instead, he calls them to remember.
Remember what God has said.
Remember what God has done.
Remember who God is.
When circumstances make us question God’s faithfulness, His Word reminds us that He has spoken. When it seems like He isn’t acting, history reminds us that He has acted before. And when His timing makes no sense to us, His character reminds us that He is patient, merciful, and faithful.
So where are you tempted to measure God’s promises by what you can see today?
Because God is faithful, we can remain steadfast while we wait for Jesus—and face His return not with fear, but with hope.

Interested in serving in the Creekside Café? Join us for a relaxed, one-on-one training session where you can practice making drinks, learn the Square register, and get comfortable with our equipment—without the rush of a Sunday morning! Whether you’re brand new or already have café experience, we’ll help you feel prepared and confident before you serve. Training on our equipment is required for all new Café volunteers, and you’re welcome to sign up for as many sessions as you need.

Warm Up the Valley Warm Up the Valley will be here before we know it, and we’re getting ready to serve our community together! Throughout September, we’re collecting new or gently used winter gear to help our neighbors stay warm this winter. Bring coats, hats, gloves, and other cold-weather accessories and drop them in the collection bins located in the Family Entrance and The Breezeway. Family Ice Skating Night Creekside Kids and Youth invite the whole family to join us for an evening of fun together on the ice! We’re renting Brett Memorial Ice Arena for the evening, so we’ll have the rink all to ourselves. Grab your skates, bundle up, and come enjoy a great night with your Creekside family!
