Peter warns the church that false teaching doesn’t always arrive looking obviously false. Often, it begins with truth—and then bends it just enough to move authority away from Jesus and toward ourselves. That’s why discernment matters. Are we allowing Scripture to have the final word, even when it confronts us? Or are we slowly reshaping Jesus into someone who agrees with what we already want? The good news is that God has not left us without a guide. His Word is trustworthy, His character does not change, and He knows how to rescue His people while bringing justice to what is false. Join us this Sunday as we learn how to recognize distorted truth, remain grounded in Scripture, and keep Christ in His rightful place as Lord. ## Coming Up At Creekside [![](https://churchusercontent.com/9eef5887-c4a2-44bd-bcf1-3a129f4488ac/pco-imports/2026-08-06T18-19-28-997Z-964d7ec8-e896-4461-9334-1cec17544887.jpg)](https://creeksideak.churchcenter.com/calendar/event/196070629) ## College & Career Service **Begins TONIGHT!
