Peter shows us what happens when our identity is truly settled in Jesus: we become free to pursue unity, bless those who wrong us, and trust God with the outcome. In a world that says, “Protect yourself. Defend yourself. Get even,” Jesus forms a different kind of character in His people—one marked by humility, compassion, courage, gentleness, and hope. So where is Christ inviting His character to become more visible in us? Where are we tempted to repay hurt with distance, bitterness, silence, or retaliation? And what would change if we trusted God with the final outcome? The good news? Jesus has already suffered, risen, and reigns over every power. Because our lives are secure in Him, we are free to keep doing good, pursue peace, and reflect His character even when life is hard.
