Christmas Verses Recording

Every year, kids pick a verse or two or three, memorize them, and we record them saying their verses. Then this compilation is shared with the church at the Christmas Eve service as the reading of the night. It is very cute and a very special tradition here at Creekside.

We would love to have your youth or kid sign up for a few verses! We are recording on November 17th. When you pick your verse, you are assigned the time for the recording of that verse. All of the details are on the registration page linked below.

We have 14 of 42 spots filled . Siblings can learn the same verse as we have two spots per verse. We would love to have all the spots claimed before the recording day (which is in like two weeks).

Parent + Child Dedication

Our next Parent + Child Dedication is going to be held on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This is also a Respond Service (a service filled with singing and prayer as a response to God's love and grace). Learn more through the registration link.

Disciple Making Moment

If you don't know by now, I LOVE Christmas! I have fond memories of Christmas services, family traditions, snow, music, and all the joy that comes with the season. But most of all, I love that Christmas gives us an opportunity to celebrate Jesus! While December 25 isn't the actual date of His birth, we get to intentionally pause and celebrate that Jesus came to earth to rescue us and offer redemption.

At Creekside, our mission is to make disciples who abide in Jesus, are transformed by His Word and Spirit, and live on mission with Him. Christmas gives us a wonderful opportunity to put that mission into action with our kids and the families in our community. We want children to do more than enjoy the excitement of the season. We want them to know the story of Jesus, understand why He came, grow in their relationship with Him, and see what it looks like to share His love with others.

That's why I want Christmas to be special for the kids at Creekside Church and the friends they invite. Every interaction, activity, and conversation can be an opportunity to point children to Jesus and help them take another step in their discipleship journey.

There are so many ways to be part of making that happen! Consider serving in one of these ways this Christmas. Some of these opportunities are perfect for serving with your family and being disciples together...

Anytime between now and December 3rd: Package up our extra diapers to be given out at Warm Up the Valley. We have been blessed with a lot of diapers and parents frequently bring their own diapers on Sundays, so we have plenty to share with others! If you can come in and package diapers (make sure they're clean, in a sealed bag, and labeled with brand and size), please let me know.
Monday, November 23rd from 9am-3pm - Christmas Decorating. Bring a snack to share and help decorate during any of that time! The Kids side needs love because this is not my gifting... at all!
Saturday, December 5th - Warm Up the Valley! This is a church-wide, all hands on deck event that the church hosts to bless families with Christmas! There are a lot of roles and you can learn more through the registration. If you want to hang out with me for a few hours, please sign up for childcare! Childcare is only provided for volunteers' kids and right now I'm the only one registered for that spot. I would love company! But sign up for the spot that interests you! Wednesday, 12/9 - Christmas Movie prep - opportunities during the day to help set up the Christmas Family Celebration and help run the Family Celebration from 5:30-7pm (more details to come). Set up will be around 1:30pm.
Wednesday, 12/16 - Family Celebration Prep - help set up for the Family Christmas Movie event during the day or to make popcorn right before the event at 6ish (more details to come). We will need round tables set up, the walls moved back, activities printed and put out, and such. Set up will be around 1:30pm.
Wednesday, 12/23 - Christmas Eve service prep - help set up the Kids Chapel for the family friendly space for the Christmas Eve service. We need round tables set up, activities at every table, clipboards prepped for the service, and such. Set up will be around 1:30pm.
