Fall Festival
Oct 10, 10am
A completely free family celebration! Come join us for our Creekside Fall Festival on Saturday, October 10, from 10am–12pm. Enjoy games, popcorn, crafts, face painting, a cake walk, fun activities, and a photo op!
Special Volunteer Opportunities - For the Fall Festival, we want parents of young kids to attend with their kids! However, we do have a few ways you can support the Fall Festival without manning a station that Saturday.
Please email me if you can do any of these options
🎃 Pumpkins 🎃 Take my stash of plastic bottles, purchase orange duct tape, wrap them up, give them a Sharpie face! Return to Creekside. See photo for example (green vine / leaf optional)
-Create a Plinko board: Take my pegboards, buy 1/4" dowels, cut and assemble in holes, create a frame for the boards. Return to Creekside. See photo below.
🧹 Vacuum 🧹 With the Fall Festival on a Saturday and the offering of popcorn... we are going to need 1-2 volunteers to vacuum after the event (starting at 12:30ish). If you love to vacuum, I have the carpet for you!!
🎂 Cake Walk donations 🎂 We accept cakes, brownies, cookies, cupcakes, etc.
- Please size for a family of 4 or more.
- Donate in packaging that you don't want returned.
- Label if it contains nuts or is gluten free or dairy free.
- Drop Off: Monday-Thursday the week of the Fall Festival (from 9am-4pm) or on Saturday morning at 10am.

Kids Connect (K-5th)
Sep 30, 5:30pm
This is a Kids Connect week!! Rhonda - our Welcome Ministries Director - asked me to thank you all for handling the parking lot and youth group line at pick up so well! Thank you!!
Lesson Recap
Sunday Lesson - Joshua & Rahab (the PG version) - If you know this story, you know Rahab's profession, we skipped that part ;) But we may have mentioned that she is in Jesus' lineage!
Memory Verse - "Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” -Joshua 1:9b
Take Home Activity - You can place a red cord somewhere in the house and talk about how you are trusting God (like Rahab). Or build walls with blocks or Legos in preparation for next week's lesson on the Walls of Jericho!
Kids Connect Wednesday Lesson - This week, we will be discussing people! Why God made us and what we do!
Disciple Making Moment
As we are experiencing beautiful autumn days for the moment, take a walk with the kids (without devices) and simply notice what God has made. Encourage your kids to think about God while on the walk. When we encourage our kids to think about God in ordinary moments, we’re helping them develop a lifelong habit of turning to Him.
Behind the Scenes
📖 Books of the Bible
Each week, our Kindergarteners–5th graders practice the books of the Bible! From July through mid-November, we focus on the Old Testament, and from mid-November through May, we focus on the New Testament.
We use these songs because the book names are stated clearly and only once, and the videos show how the books are organized (Law, History, Poetry, Major Prophets, etc.). Kids do not have to use these songs—we’re simply sharing a resource we like!
Old Testament Song
New Testament Song
When kids memorize the books, they can recite them to a Kids volunteer and earn a prize. Starting in January, each K–5th grader may earn one prize for each of the following during the school year:
- Old Testament
- New Testament
- All the books together
Kids will recite the books to a volunteer, receive a ticket with their name, and take it to the Check-In Desk so we can record it and reward with the prize.
Until then, keep practicing! When your child is ready, they can recite the books on Sunday morning and earn prizes as they have been.
