Hello @first-name,

We are starting the 'ber months tomorrow! September, October, November, and December -- it's the best season of the year! It always seems to go so quickly too!! Do you have special traditions that you engage in during these months?

Fall Festival

Saturday, October 10 | 10am–12pm

A completely free family celebration! Come join us for our Creekside Fall Festival. Enjoy games, food, family activities, and a photo op!

Bring the whole family and invite your friends! No registration is necessary to attend.

Family-Friendly Costumes Welcome!
Want to dress up? Come in a family-friendly costume and join the fun! Please avoid scary, frightening, or dark themes. We want our Fall Festival to be a fun and welcoming place for every family, reflecting the light and love of Jesus.

Want to Help Make It Happen?

This year, we're looking for a few parents to join our Fall Festival Leadership Team! Team Leads will take ownership of an area of the festival—such as games and activities, face painting, decorations, food, prizes, or setup and teardown—and help plan and oversee that area from start to finish.

You don't have to do it all yourself—we'll help you build a team of volunteers to serve alongside you.

Interested in helping lead? Sign up to be part of the team! General volunteer opportunities will also be available in a few weeks for those who would like to help during the event.

Learn lots more and sign up for a specific role here!

Coffee & Playdate - We are moving inside for the fall and winter!

Coffee & Playdate is our weekly playdate for mamas and kids during the school year! Come hang out, grab a cup of coffee, connect with other mamas, and let the kids play, explore, and burn off some energy.

When: Wednesdays, 10am–12pm, September through the end of April

Where: Rainbow Preschool Room at Creekside Church

Enter through the main glass doors or the Family Entrance. The Rainbow Preschool Room is located down the Early Childhood wing on the Kids side of the building.

Come as you are—no registration required!

Disciple Making Moment

This year, we’re introducing a new discipleship practice for families! Each month, your family will be encouraged to practice retelling one story from the Bible together.

The story will come directly from a Sunday lesson, so your kids will already have heard and learned the story at church. At home, you’ll have a simple opportunity to revisit it, talk about what it teaches us about God, and practice telling the story in your own words.

The goal isn’t to add another big activity to your family’s schedule—it’s to give you a simple, meaningful way to make faith part of everyday family life. Over time, these monthly practices will help your children become more familiar with God’s Word and more confident talking about their faith at home and with others.

How Do We Fit It In?

You don't need to set aside an hour or create another thing on your family calendar. Look for the little moments you already have together!

  • At the dinner table: Ask your child to tell the Bible story while everyone eats.
  • In the car: Take turns telling the story while you're driving somewhere.
  • At bedtime: Use the story as part of your bedtime routine.
  • While you're waiting: Practice the story while waiting at an appointment, in the pickup line, or for dinner to cook.

It doesn't have to be perfect! The goal is simply to spend a few minutes together remembering God's Word and talking about what it teaches us about Him. Bonus points if your family can remember how this story connects to God's big plan (think about how it relates to Jesus).

September's Story: The Story of Moses

Behind the Scenes

Yesterday, our kindergarten – 5th grade teachers and helpers gathered to look at why we do what we do—discipleship through teaching and relationships—and how we do it through our policies, evacuation plans, lesson components, and check-in/check-out procedures. We also celebrated what we’re doing well and talked together about opportunities to keep growing and improving.

We also prayed a blessing over this team! We’re so grateful for the people who faithfully invest in our kids each week. If you’ve ever considered serving with Creekside Kids, ask a volunteer about their experience as a helper or teacher
